Successful commissioning even under Corona conditions!

Drum dryer (for core material) with a multi-fuel burner type BCB – D/G – 40

Extraordinary times require extraordinary measures:
The Austrian wood based panel producer Egger completed the installation and commissioning of the new particleboard plant in Lexington, North Carolina, in the middle of the Corona pandemic with a professional health maintenance concept.
Following the strict hygiene and distance rules contributed towards the successful installation and commissioning.

The contract between Egger and Büttner includes the delivery, installation and commissioning of two new high efficiency drum dryers type 5,8 x 28 R for wood chips.

After the installation of the two dryers the first dryer was put into operation in September. The first chips passed through the drum on the 12th and the first board was produced one week later on the new Siempelkamp ContiRoll® press.

The second dryer will go into operation in November.

We wish our client Egger as well as the whole team on site continuous success and health during the commissioning.
